GET INVOLVED!
There are many ways to get involved with BCAWS. Our group is made up of dedicated animal lovers who bring different skills to the effort. Check out some of the ways you can volunteer and contact us with your questions!
Help us Build Doghouses
Calling all carpenters!
We build and distribute a lot of doghouses, and mostly rely on individuals and family groups to keep production moving.
However, we occasionally have group builds, including a recent one at Clayton Homes, whose employees got credit for their volunteering.
If you have some carpentry skills, the tools and work space, we have the step-by-step plans and the materials and experienced builders to guide you.
If you are a business who would like to provide space and volunteers for a doghouse build, Contact us.
and we will put you in touch with our Construction Coordinator, so you can find out more.
Help us Build Fences and Erect Kennels
Many hands make light work.
When possible, we fence in areas or erect kennel enclosures to get dogs "Off the Chain." There is nothing quite like the thrill of taking the chain off a dog's collar and watching a newly-freed dog ZOOM around in its new home space. The more hands, the easier the job. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to show up and work. Come build with us!
Help us Transport Materials
THE BIG STUFF!
We often need assistance loading and transporting doghouses, lumber or fencing materials from Point A to Point B. If you have a truck, van or trailer and would like to help us move "the big stuff," that would be awesome. Contact us and let us know what you have, and we'll let you know when and how you can help.
Help us Transport Critters to Appointments
Pick Up and Drop Off
We need help transporting dogs and cats on a regular basis. Sometimes our clients need assistance transporting their dogs and cats to and from medical or spay/neuter appointments. If you can give them a lift, you can help change their lives for the better.
Help us Provide Temporary Housing
Fosters are Angels in Disguise
Occasionally we need to find temporary housing for client animals with a foster family while they recover from a medical procedure or are in the process of being transferred to a rescue. If you can offer a safe space to a dog or cat in need, contact us!
Help Us Find Animals in Need.
We are here to help.
We want to be a resource for folks who want to make life better for their outside dogs. and cats. If you are an owner who needs assistance improving your pets' living situation, CONTACT US.

Sometimes, all it takes is an offer to help.
